TAFIC rope in former players

FRANCISTOWN: After promoting Ntime Ntime to head coach recently, TAFIC have brought in three of their former players to beef up the technical bench. Ntime was promoted after the sacking of former coach Godfrey Tamirepi.

He will be assisted by former international players, Davis 'Mlungisi' Kopi and Mmoloki 'BB' Sechele while Pogiso 'Wrist' Mmusi rejoins the team as goalkeeper coach. The three former players are expected to work with Ntime, formerly Tamirepi's assistant. Mmusi is not new to the team's technical bench. He once worked with Tamirepi in 2005 but due to internal rifts, the former goalkeeper quit.

TAFIC spokesman Jones Mosweu strongly believes that the new team will do a remarkable job if given support by stakeholders. "Upon the appointment of a substantive holder to the coach's position, the two gentlemen (Sechele and Kopi) together with Ntime will lead the team," said Mosweu. Matjimenyenga lie third from bottom in the Mascom Premier League standings with eight points from nine games. Mosweu emphasised that the three ex-players bring experience and a great tradition to the club after they distinguished themselves on the pitch.
