TAFIC AGM postponed again

FRANCISTOWN: TAFIC's Annual General Meeting (AGM) that was supposed to be held at the weekend has been postponed after the club failed to gather enough members.

And the possibility of the meeting getting postponed again next weekend is very high. In an interview with the club chairman, Humphrey Nawa, he was uncertain as to whether they will be able to muster enough crowd for the second meeting to be held. The weekend postponement was the third time the club AGM had to have another date set.

The two previous meetings were postponed this month after only a few supporters turned up for the meetings. This weekend again only a few supporters came for the meeting forcing the cancellation.  Nawa blamed the Monarch West by-election that was held on Saturday for the club's failure to hold its annual AGM.  "The timing of the AGM was wrong. I believe most of our supporters attended the Monarch West by-election where there was much activity and snubbed our meeting" he said.Nawa also opined that the club AGM may not have been advertised very well which was why many individuals did not attend. The club chairman said that they intend to host the AGM at the weekend.
