Notwane withstood a furious fight-back by Jungle Queens to beat their local rivals 60-34 in a dramatic Spar Netball League match on Saturday in Gaborone.

It was sweet revenge for Notwane who lost both encounters last season.
In fact, Queens beat Notwane for the first time since 2006 in a 56-53 win on June 11 and then completed a double over their rivals in the return leg.

But on Saturday, Notwane surged into a healthy 32-14 lead by end of the second quarter after dominating proceedings from the onset. From the on start, they looked poised to exact full revenge and 19-year-old Goal Attack Tumisang Bakidi thrust them upfront as early as the second minute. The youngster, arguably the most outstanding player during the game, weighed in with most of Notwane's goals in the opening quarter.
