Sweet revenge as Diphatsa end Kutlwano dominance

FRANCISTOWN: Diphatsa men's side showed more determination and zeal to get sweet revenge over Kutlwano in a Mascom Volleyball League match at Area S courts on Saturday. In the first round, Kutlwano humbled seasoned Diphatsa 3-0 in Gaborone but on Saturday, things were different.

Diphatsa came to the party to end the agony they have suffered at the hands of George Leabaneng's side in recent years. From the onset, the body language of Diphatsa players indicated that they will not play second fiddle to Kutwlano again in a tight affair. In the first set, Diphatsa capitalised on mistakes by experienced Shadrack Kapeko and Libion Machae to emerge 25-23 winners.

The second set was another close contest but once again, Kutlwano mistakes proved costly and Diphatsa won it 25-22. In the third set, Kutlwano launched an impressive attempt to push the duel to a fourth or fifth set. Isaac Samuel's scored four points without reply from Diphatsa and disbelieving home supporters started getting nervous.
