Supporters blast Zebras' approach

The supporters who spoke to Mmegi Sport blamed the Zebras' technical bench for tactical incompetence and poor fielding.
One supporter who rarely fails to travel with the team, Samuel Rakgowa told Mmegi Sport that he was not impressed by the overall approach of the Zebras. "We could not attack for the whole of the first half. The technical team also decided to start the game with players that were not fit and left out players that have been playing regularly," he said. He pointed out that striker Moemedi 'Jomo' Moatlhaping should have started on the bench to give way to either Pontsho Moloi or Malepa Bolelang. He said that his main concern is the midfield where coach Colwyn Rowe decided to use three men, Mogogi Gabonamong, Michael Mogaladi and Barnes Radipotsane, with no ball distribution ability. "Dirang (Moloi) should have started the match because of his ability to collect the balls from the midfield and supply the strikers," he added. Rakgowa said that with Bafana Bafana fielding a third string team after several players withdrew because of club commitments, the only dangerous player was Teko Modise who the Zebras could have easily tamed if they had a better game plan.
