Struggling TAFIC walk to raise funds

FRANCISTOWN: Financially-troubled Premier League side, TAFIC, are hoping to raise at least P60,000 from a sponsored walk, club spokesman Jones Mosweu has said. The walk will start at the team's training ground tomorrow at 7.30pm behind Tati Town Police Station and end at the Leseding Community Hall.

Saadia Rossenkhan, a director at Impex, a Francistown company, will be the main walker. TAFIC alias Machimenyenga is reeling under a financial crisis that has seen them in danger of missing some of their fixtures. This is despite the fact that the team enjoys a huge following in Francistown.

At the beginning of the season, a Francistown businessman had to bail the team out in order to fulfill a fixture in Lobatse. There are reports that the club is struggling to regularly pay coach Willard Mashinkila-Khumalo.
