Extension Gunners are still dragging their feet in signing a new contract with top striker, Tiroyamodimo 'TRX' Mohambi despite the fact that the stocky marksman has been a target of many Premier League clubs since the opening of the transfer window a month ago.

Mohambi finished the season as second top goal scorer with a tally of 17 and many would have expected Gunners to jump at the opportunity to sign a new deal with their most valuable asset. But that has not been the case a month after his contract with the Peleng side came to an end.

Gunners' publicity officer, Kitso Dlamini, admitted that they have taken too long to seal a deal with Mohambi. But he denied that the club is reluctant to sign the player for the coming season. Recently, there have been reports that Mohambi has asked for more money from Gunners and that he was ready to leave if his demands are not met. Such reports angered some of the teams' followers who molested him and accused him of being unreasonable. He denied the charge.
