Standard Explains Soccer Incentives

The Standard Chartered Bank has explained that its financial support to the national Under-23 soccer team early this year was not a sponsorship but a gesture to motivate the boys.

The bank pledged to support the team this year during the Sasol tournament in South Africa and All-Africa Games qualifiers.

This was not a contract of sponsorship whereby there is a set time and amount of sponsorship," she explained.
