Stanbic Brings Pele To Botswana

Three-time African footballer of the year, Abedi Pele of Ghana will visit Botswana next month as part of the Stanbic Bank 2008 African Cup of Nations promotion.

Addressing a media conference in Gaborone on Friday morning, Stanbic managing director, Dennis Kennedy said they are looking forward to hosting one of Africa's famous footballers. "While in Botswana, Abedi Pele will interact with the media, Stanbic customers and footballers alike," he said.

The former Ghana striker will bring the African Nations Cup trophy to Botswana. Ghana hosts the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
