Stalemate in Ramotswa

RAMOTSWA: First Division South log leaders Killer Giants and Jwaneng Comets shared the spoils in a tense match played at Siga Ground on Sunday. Both sides were fresh from victories the day before the match with Comets beating Letlapeng in Jwaneng while Killer Giants overcame Kgabosetso at home.

The match kicked-off at a cracking pace with Killer Giants threatening to score in the second minute when Ntebogang Malebogo caught the Comets' defence off-guard following an exchange of passes with his captain Donald Mopako. With fans already on their feat to celebrate a goal, Comets' goalkeeper Gabalatlhege Thammano beat out Malebogo's powerful shot for a corner. In the 11th minute, Mopako curled in a dangerous corner kick only for his teammates to waste it. Killer Giants continued the onslaught for the first 15 minutes but nearly conceded a goal in the 14th minute when Comets' striker Thabiso Lekesi came very close after shrugging off the attention of two defenders.
