Spartans Dislodge Police V From Top Spot

Police V were dislodged from top spot of the Botswana Basketball Association (BBA) league after suffering a 57-64 loss to army side BDF V in a closely-contested match at the Sir Seretse Khama Barracks (SSKB) on Saturday.

This was the second loss by Police V since the beginning of the league and their first during the second round. Police went into the game seeking to cement their pole position as any slip would have allowed Spartans to go top.

Both Police VI and BDF V showed determination from the first quarter, but the army side had the upper hand over their fellow law enforcement side, going for the break on the lead. Police V tried hard to come back during the second and the third quarter, but were often let down by mistakes that allowed BDF V to extend their lead through free throws.
