Spar Netball League resumes

FRANCISTOWN: Netball fans in the north will finally get to witness their teams in action, when the netball season resumes in Francistown in what promises to be an exciting weekend.

A couple of weeks ago, the launch of the 2012 Botswana Netball Association (BONA) Northern Zone Netball League was marred by non-attendance by some clubs in what could have otherwise been a mouth-watering start to the league in Sowa Town. TASC, who finished first in the last year's season log standings, will be hoping to get to an explosive start when they host Sowa-based Flamingoes.

TASC, who are headless after coach Samuel Letsatsi quit, will hope to begin on a bright note, while Flamingoes will want to take advantage of their rivals' problems. TASC failed to travel to Sowa a couple of weeks ago due to disorganisation although the team officials argued that they had not received fixtures. TASC will be involved in another interesting duel tomorrow at the Francistown College of Technical and Vocational Education (FCTVE) courts when they visit BOASA. Last season, TASC rolled over BOASA in all the games scoring not less than 80 goals.
