Somolekae is the new BPL chairperson

Notwane chairperson, Arnold Somolekae was elected the new Botswana Premier League (BPL) chairman on Saturday.

Somolekae replaces Mokganedi Molefe who has been at the helm despite his team, Uniao Flamengo Santos having been relegated last season.

Somolekae was standing for the position against Gaborone United (GU) chairperson, Fidelis Nkomazana and came tops during the BPL board meeting on Saturday. Somolekae received nine votes while Nkomazana got seven.
