Softball eliminations deferred

The qualifiers for the Vikings Oseg Diamond Classic softball tournament (north) have been pushed back from this weekend to February 16-17 due to bad weather.

Tournament spokesperson Labbeous Peloewetse said they had to defer the games until the rains in the north have subsided. The northern qualifiers would be held in Selebi-Phikwe  while the southern ones this weekend takes place in Lobatse. Four top teams from each qualifier will take part in the Oseg Best of the Diamond grand finale on March 1-2.

The Oseg tournament is held under the theme 'Furthering excellence in softball'. It is held in three stages, each with a different goal. It is hosted in honour of founder of Vikings club and the BSA, Andrew Mokoto.
