Softball clubs battle for Top 8 title

Softball fans have a big weekend ahead as the women's Top Eight tournament takes place in Gaborone over the weekend. There are five teams from the south and three from the north taking part in the event.

The southern clubs are Bears, Wells, Police, Panthers and Dinare while the north has Rail Giants, Scramblers and Police. Wells who narrowly lost the league title to Bears and Police are the favourites. Bears, Police and Wells finished in the top three and were all tied on 22 points. Bears finished tops on a superior goal difference.

The clubs have been drawn into two groups and the top two from each pool proceed to the semi-finals on Sunday.
