Smith wins Mokolodi mountain bike event

Angus Boxshall Smith of Gaborone Cycling Club (GCC) was in a mean mood on Sunday when he outclassed his opponents to win the Mokolodi Scorpion Mountain Bike Challenge.

Smith was the only 'cheetah' on the day as he completed the tough 60km event in 2hr 33 mins ahead of Nevelle Van Zyl with 2hr 39 mins and Hezekial Sibanda.

 The 16-year-old, Stephan Lotter, came first in the junior 60km category in 3hrs 42mins. The first woman rider home was Martine Nel in 3hours 22minutes.
