Sitale retains BCF Presidency

Tshepo Sitale was on Saturday retained as the President of the Botswana Chess Federation (BCF) at elections held during the annual general meeting (AGM) held in Palapye.

He defeated his former secretary general Kenneth Boikutshwne 29-6 to keep his post. The new Secretary General is Kelapile Kelathilwe, formerly the BCF's tournament director. He was elected unopposed after former secretary general, Kefilwe Miti quit the race at the last minute.

The new Vice President is Tshenolo Maruatona who garnered 16 votes against Mokwadi Tingwane's 10 and Booster Galesekelwe's nine votes. The position was previously occupied by Gopolan Sahi who did not stand.
