Shock decision as Oteng bows out

Oteng lost 14-12 to a 17 year old boxer from Puerto Rico boxer, Jeyvier Cintron, much to the surprise of many people who watched the fight. While the first round and the second round looked evenly contested, Oteng dominated the last round, but it seems the judges had other ideas and named Cintron the winner. It was Oteng's debut at the Olympics, having conquered both the local and continental competitions.
"I was very surprised when they announced the results, but I just have to accept and move on," the 22 year old boxer told Mmegi Sport yesterday.
It is a clear signal that the government’s purse is empty and that our own behaviour has left veterinary officials fighting with one hand tied behind their backs. We have been here before.
