Not even Dustin Hoffman in her courtside box can steal the spotlight from steely-eyed Serena Williams as she edges towards a drought-breaking fifth Wimbledon crown.

The superstar actor dropped in to the All England Club to watch Williams reach the second week for the 11th time - and women's tennis's greatest entertainer and all-time highest earner didn't disappoint.

Williams unleashed a Wimbledon-record 23 aces to defeat China's former semi-finalist Zheng Jie 6-7 (5-7) 6-2 9-7 and move to within one win of a quarter-final blockbuster with defending champion Petra Kvitova.
