Selebi-Phikwe Stadium delays explained

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Selebi-Phikwe Town Council parks supervisor, Losika Kula has said low temperatures in August have led to the delays in re-opening the facility.

He said expectations were that temperatures would rise in August as the country emerges from a freezing winter, which Kula said was not conducive to plant the surface's turf.

The stadium was scheduled for re-opening on August 27 but the deadline has been pushed to September 10.
