Ex-Bafana Bafana star to launch book in Gaborone

Bernard Parker, the former Bafana Bafana striker and now TS Galaxy player, is set to launch his autobiographical masterpiece titled, ‘From A Shack To Destiny’ in Gaborone as part of his book launch tour.

The celebrated football star announced Botswana as one of his destinations for the book launch on his social media platforms. He said through a video message: “Greetings Batswana, it's Bernard Parker here, former Bafana Bafana international, Kaizer Chiefs and now currently at TS Galaxy. I am doing a book tour and I will be coming to you in Gaborone, Botswana.” Parker highlighted that the book narrates his inspirational life story on how the life of being a football player changed him for the better and opened doors for him. The book was written by celebrated author, Dr Charley Pietersen, who has few books under his name. From A Shack To Destiny book launch is set to take place at the Regent Select Hotel near the University of Botswana on June 7 from 6pm until 10pm. Ticket prices for the launch are selling at P400 per person with dinner package. Parker follows in the footsteps of former South African players like Teko Modise and Portia Modise who have both previously launched their books here in Botswana in the past few years.
