Sedimo encouragesfailed coaches

The Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) Level One coaching course ended in Gaborone on Sunday with the graduation of 17 of the 33 trainees. After the course, the government director of sports and recreation Falcon Sedimo encouraged those who did not make it not to give up.

He told them to keep on trying because learning is a lifelong process. "Do not be ashamed by your age. Continue to attend courses of this nature and you will definitely get there some day," he said.

He advised those who passed the course to use the knowledge they gained otherwise the certificates they have would count for nothing. He said learning is not about having a certificate but putting the knowledge acquired to practical use. Sedimo reminded the coaches to behave well and lead by example. "Behave yourselves well because you are leaders and mentors of your clubs and students," he said.
