Security Systems gunning for top spot

First Division (South) surprise package, Security Systems, travel to Jwaneng this evening for a date with Jwaneng Comets in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

The new comers will be attempting to topple Prisons XI from the summit of the log, while Comets will be looking to use the opportunity to get off the base of the log and ease pressure. Systems are second on the table with nine points, just three points behind Prisons. Spurred by their three successive wins, Systems would be looking to compound Comets' problems and go level on points with the log leaders. This was supposed to be the two teams' opening game, but it failed to materialise due to the unavailability of a venue. If Systems come out victorious they would stand a good chance of overtaking Prisons when the two sides meet on Sunday for the top of the table clash in Gaborone. Tomorrow, Kanye Swallows will be hoping to capitalise on home ground advantage to improve their standings when they take on another struggling side, Mathaithai in Kanye.

Masitaoka would be waiting to frustrate ambitious Killer Giants in Molepolole, while Letlapeng would have a tricky date against third placed Young Strikers who are full of surprises. On Sunday, Mochudi Buffaloes, who are still reeling from the shock 2-1 defeat by Systems last week, would be looking to redeem themselves against ailing Comets in Mochudi. Buffaloes who came close to promotion last season are still to prove that they still harbour any ambition of climbing up to the Premier League.
