Scramblers beef up squad

FRANCISTOWN: Scramblers have bolstered their squad, with three players, in a bid to defend the softball league title.

Club spokesperson, Thobogang Dimakatso said they have signed one pitcher Bokamoso Kedisaletse and two out-fielders, Pilot Charlie and Abraham Kandjou.

Dimakatso said they recruited a pitcher as cover for Eric Semuwanza who was injured during the Motloutse tournament in Selebi-Phikwe last month. Semuwanza fractured his leg while turning out as guest player for Selebi-Phikwe side, Wipers. "We signed these players to boost our squad, particularly in the pitcher's position. Eric fractured his leg and since we had only two pitchers, we signed Kedisaletse. Eric contributed a lot to the team.
