Satmos' Woes Continue

Satmos' misery continued as they went down 2-1 to Notwane in their Mascom Premier League encounter played at Molepolole Sports Complex on Saturday. The Selebi-Phikwe side played entertaining football in their quest to avoid sinking to the lower league but lack of firepower upfront cost them dearly.

The team from the copper mining town now looks almost certain to campaign in the Med Rescue First Division and face a mammoth task of winning all the remaining games.

Notwane looked shaky at the start, easily losing possession as Satmos exerted pressure. But against the run of play, it was Notwane who opened the scoring when awarded a penalty in the 16th minute after Satmos' defender Tevin Kgakge was adjudged to have fouled Phadza Butale in the 18th area. Striker Tshepiso Molwantwa, who stepped forward, made no mistake from the resultant spot-kick.
