FC Satmos kept their dreams of a return to the Premier League alive when they thrashed No Mathata 4-1 on Friday night at the Selebi-Phikwe Stadium. Despite the convincing win, the Cheetahs suffered an early set back when No Mathata took the lead in the third minute. Satmos thought they had equalised four minutes later after a blunder by No Mathata goalkeeper but the referee Ketogetswe Goitsemodimo disallowed the goal because of offside. The Cheetahs piled pressure but wasted the many opportunities they created until the equaliser came in the 44th minute.

The second half started on a high note with both sides going for the kill. No Mathata nearly scored again in the 50th minute but goalkeeper Morumbiwa Ndlovu pulled a good save. As the second half progressed, Satmos proved that they mean business and had the experience to run over the Botshabelo side with dangerous attacks from the left flank. The introduction of Abednico Gaboilwe and Emmanuel Lebotse in the 77th minute by Satmos' coach Stanford Ntini changed the complexion of the game as the duo showed no respect for No Mathata. Gaboilwe tormented No Mathata defenders with his dribbling skills, sending Satmos fans wild.
