SELEBI-PHIKWE: First Division north side, Satmos had to overcome a stubborn Second Division club, No Mathata to lift the inaugural four team Makaba Challenge Cup on Sunday. Two first half strikes were enough to seal victory for the Cheetahs, who went home P4,000 richer.

The P10,000 challenge cup, a brainchild of BCL Security Superintendent, Noah Makaba, produced an early surprise when Premier League side, Nico United lost 6-5 to No Mathata in an open play in the first semi-final.

The defeat meant Nico has lost seven consecutive games in all competitions. Majombolo fielded most of the players who faced Mogoditshane Fighters less than 24 hours earlier.
