Santos Rise From The Dungeons

Once languishing in the Intensive Care Unit, Santos have staged a late rally in the first round with convincing wins that have seen them gallop up the standings where they are poised to be in position 12 or 13 depending on how Great North Tigers (GNT) played yesterday.

Last Saturday, Santos moved to position 12 after humiliating home-side Nico United 4-1 in Selebi-Phikwe. Santos have completed their first round assignments with 17 points one ahead of GNT which played yesterday. The win over Nico was Santos' third on the trot after claiming the scalps of giants Extension Gunners and Township Rollers.
