Cape Town Santos under the tutelage of former Botswana Under-23 coach David Bright, continued with their winning ways when they narrowly beat troubled Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 in an Absa Premiership game played at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium on Sunday.

Since the arrival of Bright in January, Santos have improved tremendously and have made a steady progress on the league table. The win away to Celtic, has won Bright many friends as people now are starting to admire the way his team plays.

After the Sunday win, Santos are now placed third with 38 points from 23 games. The only goal of the game, came in the 81st minute through the boot of Under-23 international striker Erwin Isaacs who controlled the ball well before slotting it past veteran goalkeeper Simon Gopane. But credit must go to towering defensive midfielder Sebastien Bax, who picked Isaacs with a perfect pass. In the absence of captain Musa Otieno and Mogogi Gabonamong, who were serving suspensions, Bax had an outstanding game, marshalling the youngsters from the back.
