Chiefs were awarded two points after a successful appeal while Miscellaneous also benefited although they did not file an appeal. Police XI, however, were not awarded points since they withdrew their protest and are to appear before the DC for their actions.

The ruling has left both sides in a state of confusion especially with regard to playing a decider in 10 days. “It is off-season so where are we going to get those players and prepare them for a game that should take place in 10 days? Some of the players’ contracts have expired,” Chiefs spokesperson, Clifford Mogomotsi said yesterday. He said they cannot be happy with the ruling because as far as they are concerned, justice has been denied.
