Rugby gets Re Ba Bona Ha programme

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) launched the Re Ba Bona Ha programme for rugby at the Selebi-Phikwe Stadium over the weekend.

So far only football, volleyball, softball and athletics have been running the programme. At the Selebi-Phikwe launch, Debswana corporate social investment manager, Barulaganye Mogotsi said 3,100 youngsters between age five and 17 and 200 coaches have graduated from the programme since its launch three years ago.

He said Debswana has invested P1.7 million in the programme. He stated that the company believes that in investing in Re Ba Bona Ha programme, children will develop a passion for sports. He added that the programme teaches youngsters to become knowledgeable about sports and fitness. It helps the children to develop skills and techniques necessary for becoming a well-rounded sports player.
