Rousing send-off planned for Olympics team

Botswana's five representatives at the 2012 London Olympics are expected to receive a rousing send-off today as they prepare to depart for England.

The Botswana National Olympics Committee (BNOC) has lined up activities meant to give the public an opportunity to interact with the team before their departure tomorrow and Monday.

The team will meet the Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture Shaw Kgathi who will give them a brief farewell message. From the Minister's meeting, the five will embark on a motorcade with stopovers at Kagiso Centre in BBS, Airport Junction, Rail Park and Riverwalk malls before farewell dinner at Gaborone Sun in the evening.
