Gaborone rider, Ross Branch returned to his boyhood town of Jwaneng on Saturday and shone as he won in the open class and popped Champaign at the end of the final round of the Botswana Motor cross and flat track championship held in Jwaneng on Saturday.

It was a spectacular event of skilful riding as the top riders Ross and Wade Den of Johannesburg wowed the crowd with spectacular whips and incredible corner speed. These two were closely followed by Gaborone's Kitso Molebo who was having an incredible race until he fell heavily and injured his hip. Thankfully he returned to the circuit after a thorough examination, but was not able to take any further part in the day's proceedings.

Douglas Morris from Gaborone Motor Club also rode to a fine victory and finished off his season on top of the log.
Douglas, also a relative newcomer has come along in leaps and bounds and took a well deserved victory in the 85cc class. Ben Strauss took a fine 2nd place in only his second competition. The 125 high school class was very competitive and these kamikaze kids put on a great show with Tyron Beverley from South Africa gaining top honours followed closely by a hard charging James Morris of Gaborone.
