Township Rollers booked a place in the semi finals of the 'Tse Ditona' Mascom Top 8 cup despite going down 2-1 to BDF XI in the second leg of the quarterfinals played at the Molepolole Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon. Rollers went into the match carrying a two-goal cushion after winning the first leg 3-1. Their lead was however, reduced in the 26th minute when Mokgathi Mokgathi combined well with Lemponye Tshireletso on the wing to give BDF XI the lead. The striker swiftly tapped in a cross by Tshireletso past Dambe to put BDF XI ahead. Rollers had come close to scoring on two occasions earlier, but goalkeeper, Michael Pepukani denied Onalethata Tshekiso from close range before the bulky striker fluffed a begging low cross by Mogakolodi Ngele.

Rollers were forced to abandon their tactics early in the game when centre back Oscar Ncenga had to be taken out on account of injury. Defensive midfielder Lawrence Majawa dropped into defence with Powell Abednico coming on to take the anchor role.
