Township Rollers maintained their position at the peak of the log standings with a 9-1 thumping of relegation threatened FC Satmos, in a game played at the Molepolole Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.

Four goals from Segolame Boy, a brace from Joel Mogorosi and a goal each from Motsholetsi Sikele, Maano Ditshupo and Jerome Ramatlhakwana guided Rollers to the league’s biggest win of the season. The teams went to recess with Rollers comfortably 4-0 up.

Satmos woes were further compounded at half time when goalkeeper, Kagiso Tshelametsi, suffered an injury.  Rollers’ coach, Mark Harrison applauded his players for a good showing on the day. “It was a good performance from my players. They showed good attitude and professionalism for the entire 90 minutes. It is always good to win in every game,” Harrison said. He said Boy’s outstanding performance was bound to come anytime soon as the midfielder has been hard at training. The Englishman, who arrived at the Rollers’ camp at the beginning of the season, said he is yet to settle on his squad as he is trying out different players and formations. “It is work in progress. The players have to know me and I also have to know them,” he said.
