Rollers search for first victory

Township Rollers will be searching for their first victory when they take on Uniao Flamengo Santos in the Mascom Premier League at the National Stadium tonight.

Mapalastina got off to a bad start when they were humiliated 3-0 by archrivals, Mochudi Centre Chiefs. They then squandered a 2-0 lead to settle for a 2-2 draw against newboys Boteti Young Fighters in Orapa on Saturday.

In their last meeting at the same venue during the second round of last season, Santos humiliated Rollers 3-0. Besides the search for a first victory this season, Rollers will be out to avenge the result when they meet tonight. The man who helped in the mauling of Rollers, Thato Siska has joined big spending Mochudi Centre Chiefs. It would be interesting to see who will plot Rollers' downfall in the game tonight. On paper, Rollers have a better squad than Santos and their coach David Bright knows the strengths of most of the Santos' players after spending sometime at the club last season. Then there is former Santos' wonderboy, Sekhana 'Nandos' Koko who is now at Rollers. Since joining Rollers during the January transfer window, Koko has lost his form.
