Township Rollers advanced to the last 16 of this season's Coca-Cola Cup following their 2-0 victory over First Division side, Killer Giants at Siga grounds on Saturday.

Rollers went in to the game as favourites but never found it easy. Under the tutelage of a former Rollers' player, Pio Paul, Killer Giants seemed to have planned their game well, closing up Rollers at every move. Knowing very well the dangers that could be caused by Rollers' attacking trio, Mogakolodi Ngele, Sekhana Koko and Ntesang Simanyana, the Ramotswa side left no stones unturned, in most cases arriving first at every ball. Onalethata Tshekiso was the only player upfront for Rollers who managed to deal with the physical presence of the lower division side. Former Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Naughty Boys defender, David Mfolwe played one of his best games giving Rollers' strikers no room with his timely interventions. The first real scoring chance came in the first minute following a defensive lapse by Rollers defence, but Killer Giants' strikers's reaction was not quick enough. Four minutes later, Pane Rakhobo who had a brilliant game in the first half received the ball wide on the right and cut inside before unleashing a powerful shot that  slightly went over the crossbar. Rollers tried patiently to play shot passes going forward but found little room especially in the middle.
