Township Rollers maintained their good run in the be MOBILE Premier League when they defeated Notwane 3-2 in an exciting match played at the University of Botswana Stadium on Friday night.

It was the first league game at the venue since it was renovated and the big crowd suggested that football lovers were hungry for action in Gaborone where the National Stadium is also closed for refurbishment.

"Finally I am able to watch league games. I cannot risk travelling to Molepolole and Jwaneng because, of road accidents," one Rollers supporter said. Premier League Committee (PLC) chairman, Mokganedi Molefe said last week the UB Stadium will only be available for few league games and fans will be forced to continue travelling to Molepolole and other venues outside, Gaborone for the matches. Rollers victory on Friday means that they remain perched at the apex of the log standings with 12 points from five games.
