Rollers host struggling Comets

Township Rollers host struggling Jwaneng Comets in a Mascom Premier League game at the National Stadium tomorrow.

Rollers are still smarting from a 3-2 defeat inflicted on them by Nico United last weekend. However, they meet a Comets side that has seriously degenerated since Rollers swamped them 3-0 in the first round at the Galaxy Stadium. In recent times, Rollers' main undoing have been conceding winning goals in the last minutes and failing to score enough goals to win matches. Against Comets, Mapalistina will rely on attacking players like Joel Mogorosi, Edwin Moalosi and Thapelo Balepi. Since the arrival of Zambian coach, Dickson Ngwenya, Balepi has been in good form. Comets' defence led by experienced captain, Mogorosi 'Ross' Motswagae will have to be at their best to keep him in check.

Comets are languishing at the bottom of the log standings with 15 points while Chiefs will be in the top six if they win tomorrow's game. The two sides have been firing blanks despite creating scoring chances. Some soccer pundits have attributed Comets' failure to score to lack of quality strikers. Since the departure of Botlhe Rankgomo to Flamengo Santos at the beginning of the season, Comets have found it tough to find the back of the net. They have a mathematical chance of surviving the axe or at least getting another chance through the promotional play-offs. The game kicks off at 4pm.
