In a strange twist of events, Township Rollers is on the verge of signing the man they love to hate, Bernard Semakwezi from BDF XI. The Zambian striker has not only been the scourge of Rollers since last year, but has been at the centre of a three-way dispute between the club, BDF XI and the Botswana Football Association (BFA).

The dispute arose after Semakwezi was locked out of the semifinals of the Coca-Cola Cup because of a protest by Rollers that he was irregularly recruited by BDF XI. Rollers lost the argument with disastrous consequences as they were locked out of the cup final.

In addition, they were punished for dragging football matters to court, though they later benefited after they struck a controversial out-of-court-deal with BFA.
Meanwhile, Semakwezi twisted the knife in the hearts of grieving Rollers' faithful by scoring a fantastic winner when the two sides met in the first round of the Premier League at the National Stadium.
