Defending champions, Jwaneng Galaxy were knocked out of the Mascom Top 8 after playing to a 1-1 draw with Township Rollers in the second leg of the knockout competition semi-final on Friday evening at the National Stadium. Popa advanced to their fourth Mascom Top 8 final on an away goal rule as the two sides played to a 2-2 draw the previous weekend.

Less than a minute into the game, the hosts showed their intentions with Motsholetsi Sikele’s pinpoint cross falling into Ofentse Nato’s path but he shot wide.

Two minutes later, goalkeeper, Ezekiel Morake failed to clear Edwin Olerile’s cross but Sikele could not capitalise as his shot went wide. Rollers kept asking questions while the visitors sat back.
