Rollers discard Zambian duo

Premiership giants, Township Rollers have transfer-listed Zambian defender, Timothy Phiri at his own request. The player joined the club at the start of last season but his stay has not been a happy one so he asked to be released.

The former Boteti Young Fighters' man is linked with a move to South Africa. A source close to Phiri said the player is leaving for South Africa this week. "There is a club that is interested in him in South Africa and he should be leaving anytime this week. It would seem like he was not happy at Rollers. That is why he asked to be released," said the source.

Rollers' chairman Spencer Mmui confirmed that Phiri is on his way out of the club while the contract of another Zambian Bernard Semakwezi ended in June and has not been renewed.
