SELEBI-PHIKWE: The First Division North season ended over the weekend with Tonota FC being relegated to Division One.

BR Highlanders had already qualified for play-offs against Prisons XI, while Motlakase Power Dynamos emerged champions, booking their place in the Premier League. Motlakase completed their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Mahalapye Hotspurs in Palapye, while Maun Tigers beat BR Highlanders 1-0. Sankoyo Bush Bucks signed off their maiden season in emphatic fashion, sending Tonota FC a division lower with a 5-1 thrashing. On Sunday, Tigers ensured  no flicker of hope for Tonota FC with a 6-2 drubbing of the demoralised Tonota side. Two-Two Five drew 1-1 against Orapa United.

Meanwhile, First Division North chairperson, Eatametse Olopeng has said Hotspurs will not lose points after the club paid late a fine for failure to fulfill a fixture. Olopeng said clubs should learn to be forgiving if they are to be run professionally.
