As the 39 Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) affiliates prepare to receive their annual grants, in the second of a three-part series, Mmegi Sport Staff Writers, MQONDISI DUBE, CALISTUS KOLANTSHO, BOITUMELO KHUTSAFALO and Correspondent, KABELO BORANABI have put together a report card to rate how each code has performed over the years

BISA

Administration: The Botswana Integrated Sports Association (BISA), which has been the main source of talent identification for most codes including football, athletics and netball among others, suffered a dent last year when they could not hold their annual competitions.  Lack of funds was attributed to the absence of the competitions after the main financier, Ministry of Education channelled them elsewhere. The absence also saw Botswana young talent miss out on last year’s Confederation of School Sport Associations of Southern Africa (COSSASA) games and the Athletic Cup held in Nanjing, China.  The competition, however, returned recently where the Northern region dominated once again and defended their 2014 title.
