Relegation battle gathers momentum

Motlakase brightened their survival chances after an important 2-1 victory over BDF XI, catapulting them into 13th position with 19 points from 24 games. TASC also registered a crucial win against another relegation candidate, Black Peril, to replace Miscellaneous in 14th position with 16 points from 23 games.

Black Peril are still languishing at the bottom of the log with 14 points. Miscellaneous, who recently showed signs of recovery after walloping Motlakase 5-1, could only manage a draw against TAFIC. They are 15th with six games remaining. Meanwhile, log leaders, Township Rollers, have increased their chances of retaining the title after a surprise 5-0 thumping of fading title rivals, ECCO City Greens.
