The league was scheduled to start by the first week of September, but was postponed as it had to pave way for the country’s golden jubilee celebrations.

Speaking to Mmegi Sport, the committee chairperson Ithuteng Disang said amongst other issues to be sorted out is the payment of referees. “The referees issue is one of the things we need to sort out before the league could start but as of now I cannot say much on the delay. I think I will be at liberty to comment next week,” said a rather reluctant Disang. She said if all goes according to plan, the league will commence on the first weekend of November.
