After beating TAFIC 3-2 in a thrilling game at the same venue last weekend, a resurgent GU has gained lots of confidence after a very poor first round. Everybody from the supporters to the management believe that their side is on the right track. On their day, GU are unstoppable especially if Zimbabwean strikers Edmore Mufena and Sageby Sandaka rise to the occasion. The two were on target against TAFIC and their combination is likely to cause headaches for defenders in the coming games.
GU coach Luke Masomere has remained calm despite the notable recovery of his side. "It's going to be an explosive game if you look at the way BDF XI plays from the midfield to strikers. If you look at the statistics, GU are underdogs and we'll have to prove to our fans that we're coming up," said a confident Masomere. He added that everything is going well and they are ready for tomorrow's game. "We would be ready to surprise BDF XI," he told Mmegi Sport. After missing last weekend's game due to a toe injury, GU's uncompromising defender Willie Mantu makes a return to the starting line-up. It is expected that enterprising midfielder, Tshepo 'Schoolboy' Molefe will pull the strings from the midfield in a bid to unlock the stubborn BDF XI rearguard.
