After five goals in the opening 40 minutes, the dwell between giants, Gaborone United (GU) and Township Rollers Mascom Top 8 semi-final first leg clash degenerated into a drab affair in the second half. GU hit defending champions, Rollers 4-1 at the UB Stadium Saturday afternoon to take a giant step to reach the final.

However, it was the defending champions who got off the blocks first in the match. With only two minutes on the block, Zimbabwean Evans Gwekwerere rose above everyone in the box to nod home a cross by Maano Ditshupo to give Rollers the lead. But the Reds reacted swiftly to the set-back when Ronald Chikomo equalised with a shot from outside the box after Rollers failed to clear a corner. The equaliser marked the start of a miserable afternoon for Rollers goalkeeper Mampule Masule whose dismal performance gifted GU with some easy goals.
