Debswana Diamond Company on Saturday officially launched the Re Ba Bona Ha Mini Volleyball Development Programme during a seminar held in Maun.

The purpose of the seminar was to acquaint stakeholders on the merger of the Re Ba Bona Ha volleyball programme and the Mini Volleyball development programme. The Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) and the Botswana Primary School Sports Association (BOPSSA) in consultation with the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC), decided to merge the two programmes. This was after the realisation that the two run concurrently and competed for the limited space and resources and hence limited their impact and goal realisation. The two programs had the same goals and mission, that is: skills development and talent identification.

Debswana Diamond Company through its Corporate Social Investment programme has invested more than P3.7 million to the Re Ba Bona Ha sports programme for the past 3 years. The programme has established more than 61 centres in urban and rural areas across the country and includes: Football, Volleyball, Boxing, Rugby, Cricket, Softball and Athletics.
