Ramatlhakwana must return to Santos

Jerome Ramatlhakwana is returning to Santos, following revelations that the club exercised their option to extend his contract for a year.

The Botswana striker spent the past season with Vasco da Gama, but only got the green light to play in April - exactly two years since he last played club football at Santos - following protracted off-the-field issues.

His seven-month wait for game-time was ignited by the fact that Santos did not want to allow him to move on loan to Vasco without him first agreeing to the option of another year being exercised, which he eventually did as he grew desperate to play.
